Candidate Information

Must be a Third Degree member in good standing with 6 months membership in the order. Less than (6) six months will not be considered for a waiver with the following exceptions; Military deployment, Clergy or Illness. The waver must be requested and approved by the Vice Supreme Master. Candidates must have an approved Form 4 along with $70.00 application fee submitted to the Master of the District by 01-27-11 to be considered for the Exemplification of the Fourth Degree. Clergy (Priests and Brothers) application fees shall be $35.00. All fees must be submitted by Assembly check made payable to: Master, Fourth Degree and mailed to Lawrence Campitiello Master, 17825 Azucar Way, San Diego Ca. 92127

Dress Code

The official Dress Code for Exemplification of the Fourth Degree shall be;
(a) Black bow tie, plain white tuxedo shirt, black cummerbund, black footwear, and black tuxedo. No wingtip collars will be allowed.
(b) A member serving in the armed forces of his country, full time police and firefighters shall be considered in proper attire when dressed in a Class A dress uniform.

Hotel Information

The primary purpose of the Fourth Degree is to foster the spirit of patriotism by promoting responsible citizenship and a love of and loyalty to the Knights' respective countries through active membership in local Fourth Degree groups called assemblies. Fourth Degree members must retain their membership as Third Degree members in the local council to remain in good standing.

The official dress for the Fourth Degree Exemplification is black tuxedo, black bow tie, plain white tuxedo shirt (NO wing tip shirts), black shoes, and black cummerbund. Religious and members of the armed services may wear their clerical garb or dress uniform respectively. Candidates must not wear any lapel pins or jewel of office during exemplification.

As a Fourth Degree Knight you have the opportunity to become part of your assembly's color corps. As a color corps member, you will be recognized widely by the distinctive attire of tuxedo, feathered hat (chapeau) cape and sword. Color corps members regularly take part in civic events such as parades and wreath-laying ceremonies, and in ecclesial functions at Catholic churches.

You must have your Third Degree membership card with you for the Fourth Degree Exemplification.

· Any Third Degree member in good standing, with at least six months membership in the order is eligible for membership in the Fourth Degree.

· A Ladies Luncheon is provided for your wife’s entertainment and enjoyment during the actual Exemplification ceremony.

9:00 AM Color Corps Competition – Hotel Parking Lot

Following the Color Corp Competition all Color Corps. Report to Empire Ballroom for assignments to assist at the Exemplification.

10:00 AM Tickets for the Ladies Luncheon must be picked up from the Assembly Officer’s at your Assembly Hospitality room.

10:30 AM Comptrollers – Report to District Secretary in the Grove Room

10:45 AM Candidates Registration Candidates to report to Comptroller of the Assembly for registration, and final instructions in Grove Room

11:30 AM Ladies Luncheon Salon Lake Gregory & Silverwood Rooms. Tickets must be purchased in advance through the Assembly. Doors open at 11:30 AM. Lunch will be served at 12:00 PM.

11:45 AM Candidates The Candidates will report to Grove Room to line up for Exemplification dressed in 4^th Degree uniform and ready to take the Degree

1:00 PM Exemplification of the Fourth Degree Empire Ballroom

4:00 PM Holy Mass Empire Ballroom

5:30 PM Assembly Hosting Rooms Meet with the new Sir Knights and their guests to welcome them to the Assembly. Be sure to pick up your Banquet tickets from the Comptroller.

6:30 PM No Host Social Hour Foyer of Empire Ballroom

7:00 PM Banquet starts at 7:30 PM Empire Ballroom Culmination of the day honoring the newly exemplified Fourth Degree Sir Knights. This is a black tie event (Black tuxedo for men and formal dresses or gowns for ladies.) Tickets for other than candidates must be purchased from the Assembly in advance. Table seating will be assigned by you’re Assembly.
